God the Father

Before you seek to understand God the Father, it is of utmost importance to recognize that Jesus Christ is, today, your Lord and Savior. He holds authority over the eternal destiny of your soul and your newly born spirit (Matthew 28:18–20).

Remember, His true followers must exhibit three essential characteristics in their lives: love, forgiveness, and righteousness.

In contrast, those who merely practice religion often demonstrate idolatry, ritualism, and territorialism, all tied to their preconceived notions of God. They worship their god through prescribed rituals, rigidly follow traditions, and often claim exclusive possession of the truth. In the end, however, they are simply adherents of one of the many gods within the world’s religions.

You can begin your journey by reading Genesis, chapter one, which outlines the steps of Creation. Today, there are two major perspectives that attempt to explain this process:

1.     The Biblical Creation Account – Embraced primarily by believers who regard the Bible as a historical and divine revelation.

2.     The Rational Creation Account – Begins with the existence of motion as the first act of creation, which leads to the formation of time, space, and matter, followed by the emergence of the four fundamental forces of nature.

The rational understanding of Creation can later support and affirm the purpose for which you were created—namely, salvation and the redemption of your personhood—which grants you the right to become a child of God once again (John 3:16).
