Christian faith without rationality is just another
excuse for religion, because faith without reason is merely trust in someone
else’s opinion.
At OzEternity, we are committed to building a genuine
Christian faith as true followers of the teachings of Jesus Christ. Our
foremost purpose is to ensure that Christian belief is based on certainty,
supported by evidential truths that are accepted by people today—truths also
proclaimed in God’s revelation, the Bible (Genesis 2:7).
God created human beings with the capacity for rational
thought so they could understand His revelation. Throughout history, many
philosophical thinkers have tested the reasoning capacities of humanity,
showing that reality is not only proven through empirical methods.
The advancement of human rationality over the past few
centuries has led to the development of tools and technologies that enhance our
ability to perceive and understand the world—far beyond what was possible for
people more than 2,000 years ago. We have built powerful telescopes to observe
distant galaxies and clusters of stars, as well as advanced microscopes that
allow us to study the smallest biological organisms—some beneficial, others
(such as viruses) less so. Yet all are allowed to exist by God’s ultimate
wisdom and purpose.
With the development of radio communication and the
internet, information can now be transmitted instantly across continents and
cultures, allowing the truths of Christianity to be shared with vast numbers of
people.
Christianity is the only worldview that can demonstrate
that the God of Creation is not confined to being merely an objective reality.
At OzEternity, we will guide you using four arguments and twelve fingerprints
to help you understand and defend this truth.
You could start by sharing your current thoughts on Genesis
1:1—on how the creation of the universe began with initial motions to form the
fundamental forces that caused everything to exist. This was followed by the
formation of planet Earth and the solar system, and the six days of Creation
during which everything on Earth was formed to support human life.
From there, continue with the understanding revealed in the
Bible: the lost purpose of eternal life in the presence of the Creator, and the
Creator’s work to reestablish the conditions of spiritual life, so humanity
could again remain united with Him. This includes understanding the meaning of
salvation and redemption, good and evil, and other essential truths needed to
rebuild Christianity today.
