Definition of Apologetics
Apologetics is the communication of
reasoned arguments, when saying or writing about something, typically
religion or doctrine. An apologetic provides a defense of the truth of a
claim, whether it is from the Bible or any natural source, supporting the
claim with authoritative, rational evidence.
1. The most
important point to consider is that apologetics is a tool that human beings use
today to present a defence of their Christian faith, by providing natural
evidence for God existence. It is impossible to place God in a container,
because He must be a being larger that the whole universe and He dwells in a
dimension differen.t to our natural perceptions. The truth is that there
are many rational ways to prove God’s existence, some of them however can only
be perceived by people who belong to Him, the inspirer of the Bible.
2. The second point
to consider is that with the advancement of rationality, human beings, have
developed so many ways and tools to observe God’s Glory in His creation.
3. Finally; we are
living in times where the concept of right and wrong in the meaning of words is
no longer an absolute. Rather, it depends on the numerous possibilities of
definitions based in the etymological application of the truth of the meaning
of the words, which can only be understood by those who fulfill His purpose in
creation

of understanding the truth of reality, to make you able to provide the evidence
of your claims.
· Three
tests that a worldview should pass.
1. Logical consistency – Its
teachings cannot be self-contradictory.
2. Empirical Adequacy – Its
teachings must match that which we see as reality.
3. Existentially relevant – Its
teachings must speak directly to how we enjoy our lives.
· Each
worldview should address the following four questions
1. Origin – Where the universe
and human beings come from?
2. Meaning – What is the meaning
or purpose of life?
3. Morality – How do we know
what is right and what is wrong?
4. Destiny – What happens to us
after we die?
· There
are five academic disciplines that must be employed to study a worldview:
1. Theology
– The study of God.
2. Metaphysics – The study
of what is ultimately real.
3. Epistemology – The
study of how we can know things.
4. Ethics – The study of
moral right and wrong.
5. Anthropology – The
study of what makes us human.
At OzEternity we will attempt to show you more in depth things
about Christianity and give you the opportunity to provide defence of not
only the truth of the Gospel but demonstrate with truth your rational choice to
believe.
